Treatment Done
In this case, the patient was complaining about her gummy smile, also, all the lower teeth had to be removed because of severe periodontitis( gum and bone inflamation), and defective previous dental treatments.
First the lower teeth has been removed, and immediate implants were placed, also a fixed temporary bridge was placed over the implants one week after using the immediate loading protocol. With this protocol, we can extract teeth, place the implants, and than fix the crown over the implants, all is done within one week!
Second, a standard gummy smile reduction surgery was performed. We use standard vs laser gummy smile reduction depending in the amout of the gum and bone that has to be removed. As the laser, even though is very much comfortable for the patient, but it has its limitation.
After the complete healing of the gum, teeth were prepared for veneers, and impressions were sent to the dental laboratory. One week after, veneers were bonded to the teeth and the permanent ceramic bridge was placed over the lower implants.
