e.max press crowns are an alternative to conventional crowns (porcelain fused to metal) and zirconia crowns. Both zirconia crowns and e.max crowns are highly esthetic and very well accepted by the gum, but the zirconia crowns are stronger. These are usually indicated and used in bridges, e.max press crowns are usually indicated in single unit restorations and where there is no excessive forces. The color is permanent and there is no color change over time. It will not be affected by coffee, tee, or tobacco smoking.
In this case , a conventional surgery for crown lengthening (gum lift), was performed to correct the dimensions of the teeth and to reduce the gummy smile.
