Treatment Done
The patient was referred by her orthodontist. She has just finished her orthodontic treatment on the upper jaw. Her teeth had several tiny fractures, also they have had very rounded angles which will make them unaesthetic. The correction was done within an hour with composite build ups, bondings and recontouring. The composite is the same material used for white filling. We can use it for aesthetic reconstructions, and also for veneers. The veneers with the composite are not long lasting as the veneers with porcelain, but they are much cheaper. They can be used as a temporary transition to permanent porcelain veneers.
In this case, a special kind of composite ( 3m Z350 XT) was used to give the natural translucency and appearance of the natural teeth. This composite is especially designed for aesthetic cases. No laboratory work is done, so all the artistic work rely on the cosmetic dentist !
